LANDCOM COMPLETES TRANSFORMATION OF HERITAGE AT PRINCE HENRY

Landcom today unveiled the newly restored Flowers Wards 3 at their multi-award winning coastal community, Prince Henry at Little Bay.

The official opening, conducted by Michael Daley MP, Member for Maroubra, marks the second of six heritage Flowers Wards buildings, on the stunning coastal site, that has been adaptively restored.

Landcom’s Managing Director, Sean O’Toole, said the official opening marks another significant milestone for Landcom’s visionary Prince Henry project.

“The C1914 Flowers Wards buildings are of exceptional heritage significance and contribute greatly to the overall importance of the Prince Henry site.

“A key part of our Prince Henry Masterplan vision was to integrate the heritage buildings with the site’s environmental significance and unique coastal ambiance.  We saw the heritage elements of the site not just as a starting point for  Our Masterplan, but as a unique way to add to the day-to-day experiences of the residents and communities that will call Prince Henry home for generations to come.”

A major platform of Landcom’s visionary redevelopment of Prince Henry at Little Bay has involved accommodating seven on-site community groups in suitable long-term premises, at a cost of over $50 million.  One of these groups is the Coast Centre for Seniors, who will now call Flowers Wards 3 home.

“We are proud to hand over Flowers Ward 3 to its new permanent tenant, the Coast Centre for Seniors. They are a valuable foundation to the Prince Henry community and we wish them all the best for the future in their newly restored residence,” Mr O’Toole said.

The Coast Centre for Seniors provides a range of services and activities for the physical, mental, cultural and artistic enrichment of their senior constituents in metropolitan Sydney, particularly within the Eastern Suburbs.
