THOUSANDS VISIT DISPLAY VILLAGE

Thousands of house-hunters are flocking to the North West’s newest builder display village at The Ponds since its official opening in July last year.

Over four hundred people are visiting the display village each month which showcases fifteen modern architecturally designed housing types.

“Visitor numbers have been outstanding. Since the introduction of the Federal Government’s First Home Owner Boost scheme in October last year, Landcom has experienced a surge in visitor numbers to the display village,” said Robert Sullivan, Landcom’s General Manager Corporate Marketing.

“First homebuyers, families, young couples and retirees have been captivated by the new designs on offer at the village. Homebuyers are visiting The Ponds sales office first to purchase a parcel of land and then picking a new home in the display village.”

“The opportunity to buy in a new suburb, choose from a wide range of lots and live beside an 80 hectare nature reserve has helped push land sales. In fact, The Ponds hit a record of 51 sales during the month of March.” he added.

Six of Australia’s leading home builders including Wisdom Homes, Allcastle Homes, Eden Brae Homes, AVJennings, Jandson Homes and Casaview Homes are displaying various single and double storey houses and noticing several emerging trends at The Ponds.

Wisdom Homes has experienced unprecedented demand for its products at The Ponds, securing 30 sales within the last three months.

“Today homebuyers are looking for a quality home with quality inclusions at the right price which is what we are delivering to the market,” said Domenic Vitalone, Managing Director for Wisdom Homes.

Bill Hawie, Sales Manager of Eden Brae Homes notes, “More and more people are looking for that perfect blend of modern architecture and outdoor entertaining when building a new home. Most of the company’s designs in the display village feature heavily on alfresco living and casual entertaining.”

“Allcastle Homes biggest customer base at The Ponds is couples with growing families looking for a spacious five bedroom home with luxury inclusions at an affordable price. The company has created a large range of innovative family home designs to suit most shapes and sizes of lots,” said Lisa Clay, Marketing Manager for Allcastle Homes.

Rod Killick, State Manager Contract Building NSW for AVJennings says “Strong demand for the Blueprint range at The Ponds has been driven by the affordable price point starting from $115,500 for a three bedroom house.”

According to Maureen Barlow, sales manager for Jandson Homes at The Ponds, “The home of choice seems to be single level with a minimum of three bedrooms. There is also wide acceptance from homeowners regarding solar energy, solar orientation, water conservation and energy saving products being built into the home.

“Whilst this comes at a cost, purchasers are generally accepting of these costs as part of living in harmony with the environment.”

“With 15 years of building experience, Casaview’s homes at The Ponds speak for themselves in quality and design. Clients range from first home buyers to third or fourth time homebuyers. The company offers the latest styles and an extensive list of quality standard inclusions,” said Rosemary Sarpa, Contract Manager for Casaview.

The Ponds is a growing 390 hectare master-planned community which is being developed by Landcom and Australand. When complete it will comprise over 3000 homes.
