UrbanGrowth NSW recently sought expressions of interest in the final four apartment development sites within its highly successful masterplanned community Thornton, in North Penrith.
With a collective capacity for around 300 apartments, the sites are fully serviced and development ready.
Set adjacent to Penrith Station and the city centre, Thornton meets a growing demand for a transit oriented, urban lifestyle in Sydney’s west.
“UrbanGrowth NSW has achieved outstanding success with Thornton, and this Expressions of Interest campaign provides the last opportunity for developers to be part of this project, in the heart of a fast growing region in Western Sydney,” said UrbanGrowth NSW Head of Wholesale Projects, Peter Anderson.
“Thornton has changed the face of new housing in Western Sydney by delivering a range of innovative and diverse housing choices that respond to changing needs and market demographics.
“Residents of Thornton benefit from immediate access to transport, shops and high quality open space, at the same time as living at the foot of the Blue Mountains.”
When complete, Thornton will include around 2,000 dwellings, a retail precinct and commercial space. Housing options include a diverse range of detached houses, terraces and apartment buildings.
The sites range in size from 2,448m2 to 3,445m2.
The EOI closed on September 23, and it is expected that the purchaser will be announced in November.
