Precinct 9 Project Updates

Welcome to the latest update on the Precinct 9 development

We are excited to share our progress over the past few weeks. We are dedicated to keeping you informed and engaged with the advancements that shape the Edmondson Park community.

Current progress overview

Our appointed contractor WEM Civil has made significant progress throughout September. The subgrade layer for the road network foundation has been replaced as part of the civil works. The installation of stormwater pits and pipes for the stormwater system has begun. Drainage has been installed in the verge area as part of the subsoil drainage work. Precise grading of lots and roads for the earthworks has been completed. The boxing out of future roads for construction has been finished as part of the road preparation.

We are currently digging the stormwater basin to ensure it drains effectively and completing the boxing of the roads to prepare them for further development. We have started importing sandstone to use as the base for the future roads to ensure they are durable and long-lasting. In addition, deliveries of stormwater pipes have begun, marking an essential phase in setting up the stormwater management system. Also, materials from the quarry have been successfully delivered to the site, laying the groundwork for future stormwater drainage infrastructure.

The construction compound and site entrances have been successfully established and we have completed the installation of sediment and erosion controls. These systems are crucial for mitigating environmental impact and ensuring responsible site management throughout the construction phase.

We have commenced excavation of the stockpile to prepare the site for subsequent development activities. We have also commenced excavation of the sediment basin and boxing out of future roads has begun. This preparatory work will establish the alignment and construction of the road infrastructure that will support the development.
